In one such several of the caves you can find traces from a cave dweller who lived in the caves back during the neolithic period. Additionally, during the Middle Ages some of these same caves were used as hermits' cells and chapels by the monks. You'll find at the foot of the central section of the massif is the 14th century Preobrazhenski Monastery. As one of the most famous cloisters near the town of Veliko Turnovo, many historic events from the era of the Second Bulgarian Kingdom are connected with it.

History aside, Trinity Rocks, near the final of the massif close to the village of Samovodene, is exposed to the northeast. The rocks at this point are high, reaching about 35 m and located in the shadow throughout most of the day. This is why the rocks are so favored by climbers as they are protected from the sun and kept cooler on hot summer days. As you get closer to the monastery, the rocks massif is divided into two levels of rocky terraces. Here you find a path that leads you to two big rock cavities that resemble the entrances of caves. At this point, the density of the routes is the highest with lengths of approximately 10 - 25 m. and deviation from the level of the ground of 1-8 m.
